Flower Meadow - Young Embroiderers Series
This kit is to introduce young embroiderers to the art. It's fun to think of bringing the generations together and I'm hoping this creates a way to pass on an ancient skill.
Why is this suitable for children? Flower Meadow only has 3 different stitches and repeats them many times. So I hope this repetition will provide enough opportunity for it to become committed to memory.
I have designed the instructions to be friendly to a younger audience, with clear illustrations to go along with the written ones. There are only 4 colors in this kit to keep it simple and it is larger than my usual designs filling a 5-inch hoop when completed.
It is a fun skill based activity that children can work on over a few sessions.
The kit includes:
A 10 x 10 organic piece of cotton with the design printed on it.
4 DMC colors in the colors shown
Full color instruction card printed on recycled paper with soy inks. It all comes is an organic cotton bag to keep it together.
You will need scissors, an embroidery needle and an embroidery hoop to complete this kit. I do have a listing for an embroidery starter kit that includes all those items in a lovely organic cotton bag.
